First place in the Horizon League will be on the line Thursday night after the Green Bay women's basketball team topped Youngstown State 67-54.
Avenging a loss to the Penguins earlier this season at home was clearly on the minds of the Phoenix, taking an 18-6 lead into the second quarter. They also limited the Penguins to 33 percent shooting from the field and less than 20 percent from the arc.
The Phoenix boasted three players in double figures, including a career-high 17 points from Callie Genke, 16 points from Luxemburg-Casco product Cassie Schiltz and 15 points off the bench from Jenna Guyer.
A win on Thursday will allow the Phoenix to clinch a share of the Horizon League Regular Season Championship, a first for the program since the 2018-2019 season.
