NEW Radio Network to feature three boys' tournament openers Tuesday

Sturgeon Bay, Luxemburg-Casco, and Gibraltar all get top-billing on the slate of the NEW Radio Sports Network's slate of games on Tuesday as the WIAA Boys' Basketball Tournament gets underway.

 

Making a second straight run to the Kohl Center is the goal for the Gibraltar boys' basketball team as they begin their 2023 WIAA Tournament run in Fish Creek on Tuesday with a home game against Wausaukee. Tim Kowols and Bryan Mazur will have the call on 105.1 The GOAT beginning at 6:45 p.m. with the pregame show followed by the opening tip at 7 p.m.

 

The #9 seeded Luxemburg-Casco Spartan boys will travel to # 8 Pulaski to take on the Red Raiders in a WIAA Division 2 boys basketball regional quarterfinal on Tuesday night.  The game will be broadcast on 104.1 WRLU with Paul Schmitt and Reece Robillard on the call.  The game will also be streamed on New Radio Sports Network at 6:45 pm with the pregame show and tip-off set for 7 pm.

 

The Sturgeon Bay Clippers will hit the road Tuesday night in the first round of the WIAA Division 3 Playoffs when they take on the Campbellsport Cougars. Gary Barta and Lucas Stephenson will be on the call from Campbellsport on 103.3 The Clipper, 96.7 WBDK HD-2, and NEWRadioSportsNetwork.com. The pregame show will begin at 6:45 with the tip set for 7:00 in Campbellsport. 

 

The Algoma Wolves will begin their own tournament journey on the road when they visit the Coleman Cougars. Tip-off is also set for 7 p.m.

 

The Sevastopol Pioneers will also hit the road, but they will have a manageable journey as they play at Oneida Nation. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m.

 

Southern Door will await the winner of Two Rivers/Kewaskum and Kewaunee will do the same for Crandon/Bonduel before their tournament runs begin on Friday.
