The #9 seeded Luxemburg-Casco Spartan boys battled back Tuesday night but eventually fell to the  # 8 Pulaski Red Raiders to take on the Red Raiders 79-62 in a WIAA Division 2 boys basketball regional quarterfinal.

The game started back-and-forth with L-C staying close and tying the score at 18 midway through the first half before Pulaski would go on a run to close out the half with a 37-27 lead.

The second half started out with Pulaski building a 15-point lead before the Spartans made a big run to close within 53-50.  After a couple of baskets were exchanged, Pulaski went on a 26-12 run to put the game away.

The Red Raiders were led by Derek Shaw, scoring 14 of his game-high 23 points in the second half.  Caleb Blohowiak paced the Spartans with 21 points while Jack Rollin added 15 more in the defeat.

The Spartans finish the season 8-17 with four graduating seniors having their high school careers come to an end; Blohowiak, Rollin, Ethan Vandenhouten, and Max Steinfeldt.

On Friday night, Pulaski (10-15) will travel to West De Pere to face the #1 Phantoms in the sectional semi-final.
