The Green Bay Phoenix women's basketball team would like to add a tournament championship to their title haul this season, a journey that begins on Thursday at the Kress Events Center against Wright State.
The Phoenix enter the matchup on a 10 game winning streak as they try to reverse their fortunes in the Horizon League Tournament, which they have not won since the 2017-2018 season. The Phoenix are 4-4 in the tournament since, which includes a loss to Wright State in the championship game in 2019. The Raiders lost both games to the Phoenix this year by scores of 72-51 in Dayton (January 5, 2023) and 75-55 in Green Bay (February 12, 2023).
The Phoenix are led by Sydney Levy, who was named to the All-Horizon League First Team earlier this week. Teammate Bailey Butler was named to the Second Team and All-Defensive Team while head coach Kevin Borseth garnered coach of the year honors.
