The Green Bay Phoenix women's basketball team will book another trip to Indianapolis for the back end of the Horizon League after dominating Wright State Thursday night 85-57.
The Phoenix could cruise the rest of the game after taking a 30-9 lead into the second quarter and expanded that advantage in the second and third quarters. A big reason is how well the Phoenix shot from the field, knocking down nearly half their shots and over 42 percent from the three-point area. Jasmine Kondrakiewicz led all scorers with 18 points while Luxemburg-Casco alumna Cassie Schiltz added 14 more in the victory.
The Phoenix will head to Indianapolis for the semifinals and potentially the finals at the Indiana Farmers Coliseum for the remainder of the Horizon League Tournament. They will face IPFW on Monday at 11 a.m. after the Mastodons upset their state rival IUPUI 73-69. The Phoenix closed the regular season with a hard-fought 70-64 win against the Mastodons last Sunday.
