For the 11th time, the Resch Center will host the best of the best in Wisconsin's girls basketball for the state championships.
The tournament officially opened to the public yesterday with Division 3 and Division 4 hosting their semifinal games. In Division 3, Milwaukee Academy of Science upset top-seeded Waupun 64-57 while Kewaskum earned their own upset win over West Salem 46-34. Division 4 action included top-seeded Aquinas cruising past Mishicot 79-55 and Laconia handing Colfax a 58-35 defeat. Both divisions will play their championship games on Saturday.
Below is the schedule for the rest of the weekend when action restarts at the Resch Center at 9:05 a.m. with Division 5 action. The second game of the day will feature Wabeno-Laona, which defeated Sevastopol in the sectional semifinal.
Sevastopol's Libby Ash will make her own appearance at the State Tournament on Saturday at 9:30 a.m. when she shoots in the three point contest.
