The Green Bay Phoenix women's basketball team has a dance partner for the Women's NIT after tournament organizers announced the pairings on Monday.
The Phoenix will host the Niagara Purple Eagles on Thursday, March 16 at 7 p.m. CT. It marks the third time the program has hosted a WNIT game and the third time will battle the Purple Eagles. The two sides have not played each other since the Phoenix won the two games in consecutive years in the late 1980's.
The winner of the game will either play Bowling Green or Liberty in the second round of the WNIT, which would take place between March 18th and 21st.
