In a precursor to Aaron Rodgers possibly winding up in New York, the New York Jets announced Tuesday that they have reportedly signed wide receiver Allen Lazard to a contract. Lazard, one of Rodgers' favorite targets the past five seasons, is signing a deal that is for four years and $44 million.
Coming off his best season last year, Lazard caught 60 passes for 788 yards and six touchdowns.
According to other reports, Aaron Rodgers gave the Jets a list of players he would like to play with in New York, including Lazard's former teammates, Randall Cobb and Mercedes Lewis.
The 6'5" Lazard will offer the Jets a big target and reunite him with offensive coordinator Nathaniel Hacket who coached in Green Bay for three years.
