Rodgers "intends" to play for Jets in 2023

Aaron Rodgers will be a New York Jet, now we just wait for the trade compensation to be announced.

Rodgers went on the Pat McAfee Show today on Wednesday confirming the rumors that he was interested in the New York Jets, and said “he wants to play, and he wants to play for the New York Jets.” Aaron said he made the decision last Friday.

Rodgers also said when he went into his darkness retreat he was at a 90-10 percentage split that he was going to retire. Between conversations with the Packers before and after the retreat and how he felt about the end of last season, Rodgers said he felt it was the right time to move on.

Adam Schefter of ESPN reported early on Tuesday that WR Allen Lazard has signed a deal with the New York Jets, which was the first sign of life that a trade between the Packers and Jets could be brewing. In later reports it was mentioned that Lewis and Cobb were also on New York’s radar.

This would leave Green Bay with only three targets on the offense who caught more than 40 passes last season, with one of them being running back Aaron Jones and the other two being Christian Watson and Romeo Doubs, both rookies.

Starting in September it will be the Jordan Love era for the Green Bay Packers.
