Packers lining up support for NFL Draft bid

The Green Bay Packers are trying to put the pieces together for a bid to welcome the NFL Draft to its Titletown campus as soon as 2025.

According to the Green Bay Press-Gazette, the municipal governing bodies of Green Bay and Ashwaubenon are looking to pass resolutions signaling their support for the bid. That includes considering community leader agreements that would have to the two municipalities pick up the tab for the NFL among other requirements. The Packers have pledged $1 million for the cause.

Discover Green Bay predicts hosting the NFL Draft would have a $6 million to $7 million impact on the city as hundreds of thousands of people come to attend and work at the draft.

An announcement is expected to occur in May.
