Bucks set for matchup with Spurs

The Milwaukee Bucks are slowly closing in on clinching the top overall seed in the Eastern Conference, and a win against the San Antonio Spurs on Wednesday night would certainly help their case.

Still without the likes of Jae Crowder and Goran Dragic, Milwaukee defeated the Toronto Raptors 118-111 Sunday night. The Bucks find themselves 2.5 games ahead of the Boston Celtics for the top spot in the Eastern Conference postseason, with 11 games yet to be played, including one against those Celtics. Khris Middleton has seemed to find his stride as of late, going 5 for 8 from deep in the win over Toronto. Milwaukee finds themselves with potentially 10 players that could contribute come playoff time.

San Antonio has been eliminated from playoff contention as they enter the matchup against Milwaukee at 19-52 overall. An overall down season from Gregg Popovich and the Spurs could end up in a trap game scenario for the Bucks. San Antonio won the last matchup between the two teams 11-93, but Milwaukee was without Giannis Antetokoumpo, Jrue Holiday, Khris Middleton and others.
