Gibraltar's Reisen, Algoma's Miller capture top spots at Oconto Falls indoor track meet

Two local track athletes picked up event victories on Tuesday at their indoor meet hosted by Oconto Falls.

The Algoma Wolves' track team only had five kids compete but all five placed in the top six at Tuesday's indoor meet at Oconto Falls.  Faith Gerdmann was the only girl to compete on Tuesday, taking second in the shot put with a season-best. For boys', Austin Miller won the pole vault while Braden Crewe's personal best leap  was good enough for second place.

McKailey Reisen opened her indoor track season on an impressive note for Gibraltar as the teams traveled to Oconto Falls. Reisen won the 55m hurdles and had top three performances in the 45m dash and high jump. The 4x800m relay also had an impressive showing as the team made up of Betsy Lecy, Chloe Alexander, Krista Church, and Lilla Szakala took second place. For the boys, Sean Neal, Emmett Moroney, Charlie Sauter, and James Rericha took third place in the 4x100m relay.
