The Wisconsin Badgers basketball season came to a crashing end on Tuesday night, as the North Texas Mean Green overcame a 14-point deficit to win 56-54 in the NIT semi-finals in Las Vegas.
Held scoreless over the last nine minutes of the game, the Badgers were unable to get a shot off in their final possession after turning the ball over nine times in the second half.
Chucky Hepburn scored all his team-high 15 points in the first half, as the Badgers led 41-29 at halftime. Tyler Wahl and Connor Essegian added 12 points each, but it was not enough as the Badgers managed only 13 points after intermission.
Tylor Perry scored a game-high 16 points for the Mean Green,
Wisconsin ends the season 20-15, while North Texas (30-7) will play in the NIT Championship Game on Thursday night.
