The Milwaukee Brewers hope the day off will bring good luck when they play game two of three at Wrigley Field Saturday against the Chicago Cubs.
In their 4-0 loss Thursday, the Brewers' Corbin Burnes and the Cubs' Marcus Stroman were locked in a pitchers' duel early with the visitors' biggest threat coming in the third inning with the bases loaded and one out before Rowdy Tellez grounded into a double play. The Cubs would take control in the bottom half of the frame when Dansby Swanson singled home one run and a throwing error by Willy Adames brought home another to make 2-0. Trey Mancini and Yan Gomes would drive in the other runs to make it 4-0.
Brandon Woodruff and Jameson Taillon will face off against each other at 1:20 p.m. if Mother Nature allows.
