Local teams wanted to play this weekend, but the weather had other plans.

In addition to the games that were already canceled heading into the weekend, the soccer quadrangular featuring Luxemburg-Casco and Sturgeon Bay was postponed Friday and canceled for Saturday. The Spartans were able their Friday night game, a 3-0 loss to host Notre Dame. Tabi Lemens led the team with 15 saves.

Luxemburg-Casco's matchup against Shawano at Capital Credit Union Park was also canceled for Saturday.

Gibraltar/Sevastopol's soccer match against Denmark was postponed as was every Packerland softball and baseball game.

Not even indoor events were safe as severe weather in the plains canceled hockey games in Iowa, including the Green Bay Gamblers' contest at Dubuque. They will play in Green Bay Saturday night at 7:05 p.m.
