UPDATED 1:38 P.M: The match between Seymour and Sturgeon Bay has been postponed due to poor field conditions. 

The Sturgeon Bay girls' soccer team will open their 2023 campaign with a road contest at Seymour on Monday.

The weather stopped the Clippers' plans to play this weekend at Notre Dame as rains and high winds washed away the nightcap Friday and both games are scheduled for between the host school, Luxemburg-Casco, and Lakeland Union. The Clippers went 7-7-2 last season, falling to New Holstein in the regional round last year.

De Pere shut the Thunder out 6-0 last week, giving up three goals each half. The Thunder is coming off a 10-6-3 2022 campaign that saw them lose in the regional final to Winneconne.

Game time is set for 6 p.m.
