Brewers blank Mets in offensive eruption

The offense of the Milwaukee Brewers continues to find ways to score runs, as the Crew defeated the New York Mets 9-0 Tuesday night.

In Monday’s win over the Mets, it was Brice Turang who shined in his first game at American Family Field, but on Tuesday it was Brian Anderson who made the noise. In the bottom of the first inning, Anderson doubled home Christian Yelich and Willy Adames to make the score 2-0 in favor of Milwaukee.

The score would stay that way after six strong scoreless innings from Wade Miley gave Milwaukee a chance to wake their bats up again. Rowdy Tellez, Brian Anderson and Garrett Mitchell would go back to back to back with home runs in the sixth inning giving the Brewers a 5-0 lead.

Anderson and Mitchell would go back to back once again in the next inning with Anderson’s being a three run home run, giving Milwaukee it’s final runs of the game, making the final score 9-0.

The Brewers have won 4 games in a row and will look for the sweep of the Mets Wednesday at 12:40 when Corbin Burnes faces off against David Peterson.
