PK sinks Spartans soccer vs. Red Devils, face Peshtigo Thursday

You can not judge a game by its score, and Luxemburg-Casco's 1-0 loss to Green Bay East Tuesday was just one example of that old adage.

The Spartans controlled the ball and the pace for much of the game, but the Red Devils were able to secure a penalty kick in the 60th minute. CJ Ross went to the far right corner against goalkeeper Tabi Lemens to score the game's only goal and send the Spartans to an 0-2-0 mark.

The Spartans will host Peshtigo Thursday night at 6:30 p.m. Thursday marks the Bulldogs' first match of the season after going 3-3-1 last season.

No other soccer games will take place after Sevastopol/Gibraltar and Kohler canceled their matchup. Sturgeon Bay and Two Rivers have postponed their match scheduled for Friday until May 1st.
