Gamblers pepper Robbins, can't crack Lumberjacks

The Green Bay Gamblers doubled up the Muskegon Lumberjacks in shots, but it was the Lumberjacks that doubled up the Gamblers on the scoreboard 6-3 Friday night at the Resch Center.

Raimonds Vitolins scored in between Lumberjacks' goals in the first inning and Jimmy Clark tied the game at 2-2 in the opening two minutes of the second period, but the Lumberjacks scored three straight goals to put the game out of reach. The Gamblers outshot their visitors 52-26 with goalie Raythan Robbins, making 49 saves along the way. Kristoffer Eberly stopped 20 of 25 shots faced.

The two teams will get back after it on Saturday at the Resch Center at 7:05 p.m.
