Two local teams headed west for games on Saturday as the spring season slowly picks up the pace thanks to the cooperation of Mother Nature.
Sevastopol softball headed to the Hodag Dome in Rhinelander for a pair of games. They beat Gillett/Suring 6-2 and trounced Hurley 13-2.
Luxemburg-Casco spent the whole day in Ashwaubenon playing baseball against Notre Dame Academy, losing their varsity and JV1 matchups to the Tritons.
