Another series finished for Milwaukee means another series win as the Brewers defeated the St. Louis Cardinals 6-1, winning the series Sunday afternoon.
Willy Adames, who was responsible for three of the six Milwaukee runs, started the scoring off in the bottom of the third inning hitting a double to deep left field, scoring two runs. Adames would then hit a solo home run after the Cardinals answered back with a run, making the score 3-1 after five innings.
Christian Yelich would finally get to wear the cheesehead, as he launched a solo home run to deep center field, his first home run of the young season. Rowdy Tellez would join in on the scoring, driving in two more runs making the game 6-1, where the score would end.
Freddy Peralta pitched another gem of a game for the Crew, going 6 innings allowing one run on seven strikeouts. Jake Woodford would go 4.2 innings giving up three earned runs and striking out five batters.
Milwaukee will take a road trip to the west coast as they take on the Arizona Diamondbacks Monday. Wade Miley is set to pitch for the Brewers, and Zac Gallen is on the mound for the D-Backs. First pitch at 8:40 p.m.
