Local Baseball teams finally in action

Now that it finally feels like spring in Northeast Wisconsin, the area baseball teams are able to get their seasons underway as five local teams will hit the diamond on Tuesday. 

 

Southern Door will open their season against Sevastopol, looking to make it three conference championships in a row. 

 

Gibraltar welcomes in NEW Lutheran with another sectional appearance on their minds. 

 

Sturgeon Bay will face Green Bay Preble in Head Coach Neal Henrigillis' Clipper debut. 

 

Luxemburg-Casco takes on Freedom looking to shake off their weekend losses. 

 

First pitch for Southern Door-Sevastopol is set for 4:00 p.m., Green Bay Preble and Sturgeon Bay at 7:00 p.m., and the other two games at 4:30 p.m. 

 

In Monday's action, Algoma stole 17 bases en route to a 13-6 victory over Kohler/Christian.
