Softball recap: Algoma cruises past Gibraltar twice

The Algoma Wolves softball team made quick work of the Gibraltar Vikings in both games of the doubleheader on Saturday. 

 

In the first game, an eight run first inning was the recipe for success for the Wolves as they made their way to a 19-0 victory. The game lasted a total of three innings, with Hannah Nell pitching a no-hitter for the Wolves, who are rolling as of recent. 

 

Game two was not much different, except for a bigger margin of victory for Algoma. The Wolves buried the Vikings 15-0 in game two, outscoring Gibraltar 34-0 in the two games played on the day. Macie Zimmerman was the winning pitcher for game two with a perfect game, that was shortened as well, as it went three innings. 

 

Algoma will now host Peshtigo on Tuesday.
