Rodgers officially a Jet after completed trade

The long awaited trade between the New York Jets and Green Bay Packeres has finally been completed, with Aaron Rodgers becoming the new starting quarterback for the Jets, ending a long era of Rodgers in Green Bay.

The deal was completed at the 3:00 hour on Monday, as the trade details have slowly trickled out since then. The final compensation for the trade has been finalized, and is as followed.

The New York Jets receive: Aaron Rodgers, Pick 15 (2023 NFL Draft), and a 2023 5th-Round Pick (Pick Number 170).

The Green Bay Packers receive: Pick 13 (2023 NFL Draft), 2023 2nd-Round Pick (Pick Number 42), 2023 6th-Round Pick (Pick Number 207), and a 2024 2nd-Round Pick that could elevate to a first if Rodgers played 65% of the snaps in the 2023 season.

The deal is not 100% finalized yet, but the trade needed to be done before draft day, and indeed it was. Packers fans can look forward to the draft and now the new season with Jordan Love at the helm, and Jets fans will get a future Hall of Fame Quarterback for at least one season, opening up a potential Super Bowl window.
