Soccer round-up: Sturgeon Bay romps, L-C draws

Both area teams in action on the soccer pitch on Thursday earned important points as they build their resume for the WIAA Tournament beginning later this month.

Sturgeon Bay scored one goal in the first and sprinted past NEW Lutheran 3-1 with two more tallies after the break. They are scheduled to play again tonight when they travel to Peshtigo for a 6 p.m. first kick.

The Luxemburg-Casco soccer team challenged the top of the NEC table on Thursday, ending their match with Fox Valley Lutheran in a 0-0 draw.
