Two solo shots in the first game and a three-run bomb in the second game led the Oconto Blue Devils to a doubleheader sweep over Gibraltar on Friday evening.
In the first contest, the Blue Devils' scored the game's first run in the bottom of the fourth when Kadin Baxter's deep fly out to left field drove in Cooper Campsure to make it 1-0. It would stay that way until the bottom of the sixth when Kyle Bowman and Christensen homered in consecutive at-bats to make it 3-0. In the second game, the Vikings would nearly match that offense with Rylan Caldecott stealing home in the first inning and Hayden Reetz's RBI single making it 3-2 after three innings. The Blue Devils would blow the game open in the fourth when Ethan Wusterbarth drove in two runs on a single and Bowman would knock in three on his second homer of the afternoon. The Vikings play Roncalli on Saturday at 11 a.m.
Kewaunee swept Peshtigo 14-0 and 7-1 at Memorial Field to earn the Packerland Conference crown outright. They host Reedsville for a 1 p.m. contest on Saturday.
Algoma swept its doubleheader from Sevastopol 10-0 and 7-6.
Southern Door finished its week with a sweep of NEW Lutheran 17-0 and 8-7.
Saturday's games also feature Sturgeon Bay hosting Green Bay Southwest at 11 a.m. and Luxemburg-Casco hosting St. Mary's Catholic at 10 a.m.
