The Baileys Harbor A's hopes Sunday is the day they crack the win column for the first time in a few years when they welcome the Insitute Cubs.
The A's have come close to snapping their streak many times during their multi-year skid, but one of their closest calls last Sunday when they gave up five runs in the bottom of the eighth inning to turn what could have been a 4-1 win into a 6-4 loss to the Maplewood Mets. The A's scored all of their runs in the fifth inning with Chris Lodl and Joe Burlo each driving in a pair after the Mets scored an opening-inning run. It was a heartbreak for the A's, which nearly broke a two-year losing streak by outhitting the Mets 9-4 and holding a three-run lead into the bottom of the eighth inning.
The Cubs have dropped both of their games so far this season, losing their games by two runs (5-3 against Washington Island) and by 10 runs (12-2 against West Jacksonport).
Tim Kowols and Reece Robillard will have the call from Baileys Harbor beginning at 1:15 p.m. with the pregame show followed by the first pitch at 1:30 p.m. on 105.1 The GOAT, 1051TheGOAT.com and NEWRadioSportsNetwork.com.
