The Milwaukee Bucks could announce the hiring of Adrian Griffin as its new head basketball coach in the coming days.
ESPN broke the news on Saturday that Bucks had begun negotiating with Griffin on a multiyear contact.
Griffin had been one Nick Nurse's top assistants on his Toronto Raptors staff before Nurse was show the door during the season. He is no stranger to the NBA's Central division, having served on staffs with Scott Skiles and Tom Thibodeau with the Chicago Bulls, current Bulls coach Billy Donovan during his stint with Oklahoma City, and Nurse. Griffin also started his coaching career with the Bucks in 2008 after his nine-year playing career was over.
