Regional baseball continues with three games on NEW Radio Sports Network

Five local teams are still trying to work their way to the WIAA State Baseball Tournament next month with three of those games being featured on the NEW Radio Sports Network.

 

The Southern Door Eagles baseball team will begin their postseason action on Tuesday afternoon when they play host to the Howards Grove Tigers in WIAA Regional Semifinal baseball. Gary Barta and Jacob Nate will be on the call from Brussels on U-102.1 and NEWRadioSportsNetwork.com beginning at 4:15 with the pregame show and 4:30 first pitch between the Eagles and Tigers.

 

The #8 seeded Luxemburg-Casco Spartans look to avenge two regular season losses to #1 Denmark Vikings on Tuesday when they face the NEC champs in a Division II WIAA Regional semi-final baseball game. Tuesday’s game will be broadcast on 104.1 WRLU beginning at 4:45 p.m. the pregame. with the first pitch scheduled for 5:00 p.m. from Denmark High School.  The game will also be streamed on New Radio Sports Network with Paul Schmitt and Reece Robillard on the call.   

 

The Gibraltar/Washington Island Vikings will end their nearly weeklong layoff Tuesday afternoon when they host the Rosholt Hornets in the second round of the WIAA Baseball Tournament. Tim Kowols will have the call on 105.1 The GOAT and NEWRadioSportsNetwork.com beginning at 4:15 p.m. with the pregame show followed by the first pitch at 4:30 p.m. If the Vikings win, 105.1 The GOAT will carry Wednesday's regional final when they host Lena or play at Pacelli.

 

The Algoma baseball team will stay at home Tuesday afternoon when they welcome Iola-Scandinavia.

 

Another trip to Fox Cities Stadium this season is the goal for the Kewaunee Storm baseball team that opens WIAA Tournament play on Tuesday against New Holstein as a top seed in the Division 3 field.
