Glory drops second straight match

The Green Bay Glory scored an early goal but they could not hold on as they lost to Chicago City at home Wednesday night 2-1.

Carolina Gomes got the Glory on the board first in the 18th minute to take the lead against Chicago City. The Lionesses would get the tally back in the 29th minute as Xcaret Pineda banged it home. They would strike again when Daliisha Spence benefited from a series of deflections that led to the ball rolling in while goalkeeper Mallory Kehrin injured her knee on the play as she tried to change directions to make the save.

The Glory will try to get back into the win column on June 11th for a 6 p.m. Kickoff at the Banta Bowl on the campus of Lawrence University when they battle Rochester FC.
