Sister Bay battles Egg Harbor in week five on 105.1 The GOAT

Looking to break a four way tie at the top of the Door County Baseball League Standings are the Sister Bay Bays, as they host Egg Harbor for a week five matchup in Sister Bay.

The Bays find themselves at 3-1 after the four weeks and are tied with Kolberg, Washington Island, and West Jacksonport. Sister Bay routed Baileys Harbor 16-1 last week after the A’s won their first game in a few seasons. The Bays have been led by their stout pitching in Sam Forkert and Matt Hecht, who have led Sister Bay to some low scoring games. Tom Sawyer has been a strong bat for the team throughout the first part of the season, and has also been a wall behind the plate. Look for the Bays to try and break that tie atop the DCBL standings.

Standing in their way are the Egg Harbor Indians, who have already defeated a team at the top of the standings this season in the defending champions, Kolberg. Egg Harbor narrowly fell to the Washington Island Islanders last week, 7-5. Look for the Indians offense to be a driving force in this game as they look to get over .500 and improve their record to 3-2.

Gary Barta and Paul Schmitt will be on the call from Sister Bay on 105.1 The GOAT and NEWRadioSportsNetwork.com starting at 1:15 p.m. with the pregame show and first pitch set for 1:30 p.m. between the Bays and the Indians.

Other games around the DCBL include Kolberg traveling to Washington Island, West Jacksonport hosting Baileys Harbor, and Institute visiting Maplewood.
