Kolberg looks to ride momentum on 105.1 The GOAT

After taking the long trip to Washington Island and coming back with a crucial win, the Kolberg Braves will be treated to a home game as they host the Baileys Harbor A’s Sunday afternoon.

Kolberg proved their dominance in the DCBL taking down the Islanders 5-0 behind the strong arm of Jake Schneider. Although the offense hasn’t been as strong as past years, the Braves are doing enough to get wins in convincing fashion, but could use this game against the A’s to find that offensive firepower that won them the championship last season. With the high school season being out for a few weeks as well, the Braves will find some of that offense from those players.

The A’s have found some offense of their own, although it came in the form of a loss. Baileys Harbor fell to West Jacksonport 22-12, but have impressed on the offensive end throughout the season. The A’s are 1-4 overall while Kolberg sits in second at 4-1 in the standings due to games played behind the Bays of Sister Bay who played on Friday night.

Gary Barta and Reece Robillard will have the call from Kolberg on 105.1 The GOAT and NEWRadioSportsNetwork.com beginning at 1:15 for the pregame show and 1:30 for first pitch between the Braves and A’s.

Other games in the Door County Baseball League on Sunday include West Jacksonport taking the ferry to Washington Island and Egg Harbor hosting Maplewood.
