Algoma boys welcome NEWCHAA

The Algoma boys' basketball team starts their week with a matchup against Northeast Wisconsin Christian Homeschoolers Athletic Associaton (NEWCHAA).

The Wolves left their dogfight against the Peshtigo Bulldogs on Friday night with a 66-47 victory. They took a nine-point lead into the break and only extended their lead from there thanks to 20 points from Parker Lischka and 18 points from Chase Romdenne. Lischka took the lead for the Wolves in the first half with four three-pointers in the opening frame, while Romdenne picked up the slack in the second half and three baskets from behind the arc after the break. Cody Kirchman chipped in 14 points in the victory for the Wolves.

NEWCHAA has split their first four games of the season, entering the matchup on a two-game losing streak after falling to Oconto Falls and Stratford by double digits.

Tip-off is set for 7:30 p.m.
