The Milwaukee Brewers made one of their first moves of the offseason last week, trading two known pieces of their division championship for an unproven, but potential star for the future.
The Brewers moved right-hander Adrian Houser and outfielder Tyrone Taylor to the New York Mets in exchange for pitching prospect Coleman Crow.
This will be Crow's third stop in the last year after being traded from the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim to the Mets in exchange for Eduardo Escobar. Scouts say Crow has tremendous upside, but it will have to be proven after he comes back from the Tommy John surgery he had in July.
MLB.com writers view the trade as cost-cutting move for the Brewers as Taylor and Houser were likely due around $7 million combined next season.
