First half leaves coal in Bucks' stocking

The Milwaukee Bucks' holiday getaway to New York City did not end the way that they wanted as they lost to the New York Knicks 129-122 on Christmas Day.

The Bucks found themselves chasing the Knicks all day long as they were outscored 36-27 in the first quarter and by 11 points in the first half. It was not until the fourth quarter that they could eat away at the deficit, but it was too late for the Bucks, which saw their winning streak snapped.

Giannis Antetokounmpo and Damian Lillard each scored 32 points in the loss, while Khris Middleton added 24 points. Jalen Brunson's 38 points led the Knicks. Julius Randle, RJ Barrett, and Immanuel Quickly cracked the 20-point mark for the Knicks in the victory.

The Bucks will go from Manhattan to Brooklyn for their next game on Wednesday when they play the Nets at 6:30 p.m.
