Football round-up: Southern Door, Kewaunee make final positive case ahead of playoff selection

The area's 11-player football teams will now play the waiting game after completing their regular seasons Friday night, hours before WIAA decides their final fate.

Even with a playoff spot already guaranteed, the Eagles were not content. They handled the Mishicot Indians 34-6 under the lights in Brussels Friday night.

The Luxemburg-Casco Spartans could not stop Drew Kortz and the Freedom Irish Friday night in North Eastern Conference football falling 34-21 in the regular season finale.

Elsewhere, Kewaunee dismantled Marinette 35-6 and Sturgeon Bay struggled against Bonduel in a 48-20 defeat.

In the lone eight-player game Friday night, Gibraltar head coach Mike Peck doesn't like moral victories, but he was able to find plenty of positives in the Vikings' 32-0 season-ending loss on the road to Wabeno-Laona Friday night.
