Spartans runners edged by Little Chute in NEC Championships

The Luxemburg-Casco cross country teams played second fiddle to Little Chute in the boys and the girls' races Friday afternoon at the Shorewood Cross Country Course on the UW-Green Bay campus.

The boys nearly knocked off the Mustangs, but came in second place by a score of 49-54. Kyan Lynts covered the 5K course in 16:55 to come in fifth place overall. The girls had a wider gap to overcome when it came to Mustangs, coming in second place by a score of 27-72. Claire DuChateau matched Lynts on the podium with a fifth place finish, running a time of 20:01.
