While you enjoy your turkey and stuffing, the Green Bay women's basketball team will be playing on the court and in the sun of Puerto Rico for a holiday tournament.
They open the Discover Puerto Rico Tournament play against Virginia at 10 a.m. on Thanksgiving. The weekend-long tournament will also feature games against Drake (10 a.m.) and Norfolk State (9 a.m.).
After two straight losses, the Phoenix women rattled off three in a row, including Big East foe DePaul last Thursday. Natalie McNeal led the Phoenix in that contest with 17 points, while Maddy Schreiber chipped in 14 points. Luxemburg-Casco alum Cassie Schiltz hit a milestone in the game, registering five rebounds to go along with her eight points to reach 500 boards for her career.
