The Sturgeon Bay Clippers will have some extra momentum heading into their game Friday night after winning the area's only girls basketball contest on Thursday.
The Clippers saw a double-digit lead against the Gibraltar Vikings evaporate in the second half, but they were able to ward off the challenge to earn the 58-52 victory Thursday night in Fish Creek. They return to action tonight at home for senior night against Hilbert at 6:30 p.m.
Other games scheduled tonight include Luxemburg-Casco visiting Freedom (7 p.m.), Kewaunee hosting Southern Door (7 p.m.), Algoma welcoming Lourdes Academy (7 p.m.), and Sevastopol traveling to NEW Lutheran (6:15 p.m.)
