He was not alive to see it, but the life of Pound, Wis. resident John Brosig will be immortalized forever at the Green Bay Packers Hall of Fame after he was inducted into the Fan Hall of Fame on Monday.
According to Packers.com, the season ticket holder never missed a game in the 60+ years he owned his seats at Lambeau Field with Brosig's pancreatic cancer diagnosis the only thing that slowed him down. He even delayed a chemotherapy treatment this past fall so his streak of home openers would continue. He passed away on December after his battle with cancer and after he was named a finalist to the Fan Hall of Fame.
This year's other finalists included: Regan Bucholz from Bonduel, Wis, Lori Coonen from Combined Locks, Wis., Paul Gasper from Onalaska, Wis., Ken Groholski from Manawa, Wis., Tammy Hedges from Weston, Fla., Michael Rossi from Hackettstown, N.J., Scott Schwartz from Pulaski, Wis., Valerie Smick from Yorkville, Ill., and Bill Port from New Berlin., Wis.
