Softball round-up: Spartans, Eagles earn wins on NRSN

Several teams are still alive for regional titles after a busy second day of the WIAA Softball Tournament on Tuesday.

 

The Sevastopol Pioneers softball team scored at least two runs in the final three innings of its five-inning 10-0 win over Roncalli in the WIAA Regional Semifinal on Tuesday.

 

Two homers by Algoma helped them reach Thursday's Regional Final after beating St. Mary Catholic 5-1 on Tuesday.

 

A seventh inning rally was cut one run short on Tuesday as Kewaunee softball's season ended with a 6-5 loss against New Holstein. 

 

Luxemburg Casco got out to an early lead and never looked back, taking down Notre Dame Academy by an 8-0 margin, as heard on 104.1 WRLU.  

 

A back-and-forth affair swung in the favor of the Southern Door softball team late as they clinched a regional title game berth with a 5-3 win over Chilton on U-102.1 on Tuesday.
