A pair of five run innings ended the night early for Maplewood as they beat Institute 16-0 in eight innings.

Leading 4-0 early, the Mets did their damage late with five runs in fifth and seventh innings to put the game away. The Mets outhit the Cubs 12-5 with Mason Kovacs, Adam Gutschow, and Zach Marchant each posting two hits. Four players had at least two RBI, thanks in part to five extra base hits. Logan Schuh paced the Cubs with two hits. Tory Jandrin earned the win, punching out eight batters while allowing three hits across five shutout innings.
