Eric Cordier pitched Friday for the first time this spring for his new team the San Francisco Giants in a 4-3 win over the Milwaukee Brewers. Cordier, 2004 Southern Door High School Graduate, pitched the eighth inning and struck out two batters and was hitting triple digits on the radar gun. According to the TV announcers for the Giants, they were asking for radar gun results on his stellar relief outing.
Cordier, who just turned 28 Tuesday, is currently on the 40-man roster for the Giants after being signed last November. He was with the Pittsburgh Pirates a season ago.
