Kewaunee is now in the driver's seat in the race for the Packerland Conference Wrestling Championship this season. A 48-36 win over Southern Door lifted them a match in front of Oconto and Southern Door. The Storm received five forfeits against the Eagles last night. Of the contested matches, Kewaunee won just three of the nine actual matches.
Kewaunee wrestlers that were gifted a win via forfeit were Ben Jerovitz, Austin Pilgrim, Ken Hower, Drew Niemierowicz, and Dave Steinhorst. Jon Pilgrim, Adam Kuehl and Sam Severin won their matches by pin for Kewaunee.
Southern Door got pins from Triston Scoville, Hunter Pawelski, Colin Schubert, Nolan Wagner and Mitchell Overbeck. A rare call of technical stalling disqualification awarded Jacob Englebert victory.
Tomorrow Southern Door will be at the Sheboygan North Raider Invite.
