Area wrestlers went (4-2) last night during the first round of individual state wrestling at the Kohl Center in Madison. Luxemburg-Casco had three wrestlers advance and one fall in the opening night of state.
The Spartans saw 126 pounder Mason Berceau win an overtime decision 5-3 over Brad Cain of Ellsworth.
At 170 pounds, Jordan Pardowsky pinned Max Praschak of Somerset in the second period.
The final L-C wrestler to advance Thursday night was Dan Domer at 195 pounds. His 10-2 major decision over Sparta's Daniel Dawley keeps a state title possible.
Sturgeon Bay's Lucas Stephenson won easily 10-5 over Justin Dentici of Catholic Memorial.
Southern Door's Hunter Pawelski lost a 5-2 decision at 120 pounds. Luxemburg-Casco's Dylan Blemke fell 7-2 at 152 pounds.
