
Kewaunee breezed past Chilton 43-21 last night in a WIAA girls basketball regional semi-final in Kewaunee. Alex Richard led all scorers with 14 points and Carlie Van Goethem chipped in with 10 for the Storm.
Southern Door fell in a road game 45-59 in Wrightstown. Coming out of halftime down by just one point, the Eagles were outscored 15-8 in the third quarter and couldn’t recover. Cheyenne McFarlin led all scorers with 20 points for Southern Door.
The Algoma girls beat guest Bonduel 54-38 in another regional semi-final. The Wolves played a strong third quarter, outscoring Bonduel 22-8 after being tied at the half. Kennedy Blahnik put up 14 points and Taylor Schmidt chipped in with 10 for the Wolves.
Gibraltar squeaked past Lena 52-47 in Fish Creek last night. Tied at 35 after the third, the teams battled it out in the fourth quarter. Lauren Kita scored a game-high 16 points for the Vikings, half of them in that crucial fourth quarter. McKenna Ash added 12 for Gibraltar.
