Former Packers linebacker Desmond Bishop agreed to a one year contract with the Minnesota Vikings yesterday. The latest former Packers player to ride the pipeline to Minnesota missed all of last season because of a torn hamstring muscle. The Vikings are saying if Bishop can return to full health he will likely start for the purple and gold.
Bishop joins a list of Green Bay players jumping ship to the Vikings that includes Ryan Longwell, Darren Sharper, Javon Walker, Brett Favre, Tori Gurley, and Greg Jennings.
The Packers released Bishop last Monday and he immediately had interest from a handful of NFL teams. The Chiefs and Jaguars were two teams reportedly interested in Bishop.
