St. John Bosco's Hutson prepares for new role as principal

Amy Hutson's third move in three years at Sturgeon Bay's St. John Bosco School could very well be her last after taking on the role of principal this summer.

With a career in education that includes a stint with the Diocese of Madison, Hutson moved to northeast Wisconsin to be closer to her family in Green Bay. She had never been to Sturgeon Bay before touring St. John Bosco, and she instantly fell in love with the school. After one year teaching kindergarten and another teaching second grade, Hutson is ready for her next step as principal.

Hutson greeted prospective families earlier this week during St. John Bosco's open house as the school prepares for the upcoming school year with a few more seats to fill. She is excited to begin the school year with an all-school Mass on Aug. 26.
