If you want to experience Washington Island while enjoying the fun of a fair, you are in luck this Saturday. The Washington Island Lions Club is hosting its annual Island Fair at the Washington Island School.
Kicking off with a parade at noon, the annual event will commemorate the 250th birthday of the United States while also featuring live music, exhibits, games and more. The Island Fair is one of the major fundraisers the Washington Island Lions Club hosts each summer. Lions Club member Joel Gunnlaugsson said last month that the events support many causes in the community.
The Washington Island Fair and Parade costs $2 to attend, with all proceeds benefiting local charities supported by the Washington Island Lions Club.
