Y-Wednesday: Feels like fall at the YMCA

The calendars and colors are turning, which means the hours and programming at the Door County YMCA are changing as well. In the latest episode of the Y-Wednesday Podcast, Steve and Jackie Kane Center Executive Director Holly Butenhoff shares details about the programming and hours that come with the fall season.

One of the highlights is a collaboration with the Alzheimer’s Association and Sunshine Resources that will bring former Wisconsin Gov. Marty Schreiber to the Jackie and Steve Kane Center in Fish Creek for a special presentation at 10:30 a.m. Sept. 18. His book, “My Two Elaines: Learning, Coping, and Surviving as an Alzheimer’s Caregiver,” shares stories from his experience as a caregiver for his wife as she battled the disease.

Butenhoff also spotlighted upcoming tailgates on Sept. 24 ahead of the home opener at Lambeau Field and a special membership promotion in October.
